Candle Care Guide
To get the best performance out of your Bright Light Creations Soy Wax Candle please read the advice below.
- Keep wicks upright and trimmed to 6mm
- Never allow the flame to come in contact with the side of the glass
- Do not use if glass is cracked, chipped or broken
- Never introduce liquids or foreign objects into candle and keep it free of wick trimmings, matches and any flammable materials
- If the glass becomes blackened while burning, extinguish candle, allow to cool and clean with a dry paper towel.
- When candle is not in use, keep lid on candle to avoid dust build up.
- In order to maximise fragrance scent throw in a room, keep doors and windows closed and burn for at least 30 minutes. Opening windows and doors will help the scent to disperse.
- To prevent your candle tunnelling ensure your wax pool reaches the edge of the glass on each burn, to do this you need to burn your candle for a minimum of an hour but do not burn for longer than 3 hours.
- Candle burn times may vary depending on consumer burning habits and enviromental conditions
- Extinguish and discard your candle when there is 10mm of wax or less remaining
- Use a candle snuffer to properly extinguish a candle flame. If not available, use a non flammable stick (not your fingers) to carefully dip the wick into melted wax and then straighten to prevent the wick from smoking or gently blow on the wick but be cautious of hot wax splatter. Do not extinguish with water as this can cause containers to break.
- You can reuse your candle container by gently washing out the remaining wax with warm soapy water. They make for handy storage jars for your laundry or bathroom.
It’s essential to remember that candles have a naked flame and they should be treated with caution and care. For candle safety instructions read the candle warning label on the bottom of your candle before lighting candle.
